Arched Aluminium Windows, Commercial Building

This commercial building in Sorhakhutte, Kathmandu has a distinctive red-brick façade with rows of arched and round-top openings. The design called for window frames that follow each curve exactly while keeping the glazing slim and uniform across three floors.

Scope of work

• Site measurement of every arched and curved opening
• Fabrication of custom-shaped aluminium frames in a dark finish
• Glazing and installation across the upper floors
• Sealing and finishing against the brickwork

Result

The slim dark frames set off the brick arches, bring plenty of daylight into the upper floors and give the building a landmark look on the street.
